Attain Lebron James' Durability

Lebron James is undoubtedly the most durable player in the history of the game. The man is 33 years old and is still in his prime. He hit the NBA ground running and is still going strong. Its unbelievable considering his size, his position, the physical nature of the game, the injuries he's sustained, and the extra games he's played in the post season. Lebron has been rumored to spend over one million dollars to keep his health at the highest standard which includes trainers, equipment, his diet and therapy.

Lebron has reached the NBA finals 13 times in his 15 season in the NBA. In his 15th season he started every single game of the 82-game season , a feat only accomplished by his durability, attained by his healthy habits. Although he spends so much money for resources to help him get his body right, there are plenty of things that we can all take from Lebron to help us maintain peak physical condition.


* Make sure your stretch before and after playing basketball to keep your muscle loosened and prevent injuries.


* Make a workout routine and stay consistent in doing it. You should work out in the gym or at home at least 5 days a week. A strong athlete is absolutely nothing without a strong body. Basketball players constantly run, jump, dribble and shoot. Your workouts should include exercises involving the all muscles of the legs, arms, chest and abs. The stronger your body, the longer you will be able to endure and entire season and feel fresh in the fourth quarter of every game.


* Make sure to push yourself twice as hard at practice or during training times. Athletes frequently take it easy when they are practicing but then push their bodies to it's limit when it is game time, often stressing the body out and fatiguing very easily. A practice should be not be walk through but rather a simulation of the game. Lebron puts and emphasis on recreating the actual game when training. He runs his drills full speed and practices hard for a long duration and ends his practices often by making his "end of the game" freethrows, when the he is exhausted but the game demands free throws or final shot to win the game.


- Check this video out of Lebron running the entire length of the basketball court and dunking the ball 8 times in a row. He does not slow down and pushes until the end. Never in a game will he have to run without stopping but he trains to be able to endure in game demands.


* Lebron James keeps his energy and body right by keeping his diet right. You should look up the best diets and nutrients to keep your body charged and healthy enough to endure an intense game of basketball
